Lakelander Surveying was formed in September 2021 by Chris Melling-Sawicki MRICS, a local Chartered Building Surveyor.

Focusing predominantly on residential home surveys and commercial condition surveys, Lakelander Surveying is a RICS registered company providing a quality service and a friendly approach to business. 

Lakelander Surveying is based in South Cumbria. We serve the whole of Cumbria, North Lancashire, and a little further afield if required.

Chris Melling-Sawicki’s background:

Chris grew up in South Cumbria and knows the local property market well having worked back in the area for the last 8 years. Chris has over 23 years experience as a building surveyor, and has a diverse surveying background having worked for two national surveying practices in Manchester and Liverpool.

Chris has a strong track record of residential and commercial condition surveys including planned maintenance surveys for the Tate Gallery in Liverpool, and a high profile condition survey of Margam Castle in Port Talbot.

More recently Chris has worked on the repair and refurbishment of many National Trust properties across Cumbria, as well as working for a local historic estate in South Cumbria.

Chris is highly passionate about the local property market and appreciates the beauty of Cumbrian properties and the stunning landscapes in which they sit.
